Please do not confuse BIKERS USA with any publication by Easyriders Magazine. As much as we may try, we do not deserve that prestige. We greatly respect Easyriders for what they’ve done for the biker community. There are people who don’t understand how instrumental Easyriders was in informing the public that the overwhelming majority of bikers are not the scurge they thought they were during the 1960’s.

What else is new at BIKERS USA? 2/21/05 Rumors about deals to sell BIKERS USA to an oriental conglomerate are not true. BIKERS USA is going to remain dedicated to bikers who ride American made motorcycles. The only problem I’m contending with are minor bandwidth issues (solved! 3/12/05) due to rapid growth and popularity, so that’s a good thing. It means the site is getting more and more popular every day. The extra bandwidth is going to cost, so I’m looking to get some advertisers, and will even accept donations. For the first 5 years of existence, BIKERS USA didn’t make any money. It was totally financed by my daytime gig which was outsourced to India in 2004. That’s a bad thing. I’ll be able to attend more motorcycle events, so the site will have better content in 2005. That’s a good thing. It would be great to put together a print version of BIKERS USA. People have been asking for a print copy for several years. With the President threatening to raid our social security funds, I’m reluctant to invest the insignificant savings I have, but rest assured, the eagle still flies and always will while I’m alive.

BIKERS USA is the original, one and only, BIKERS USA.
BIKERS USA is a worldwide, online motorcycle magazine for bikers, by bikers, about bikers, and dedicated to biker lifestyle. Serving the biker community since 2000, it is not yet a print publication and not sold in stores. While many other biker-related and motorcycle magazines were (and still are) capitalizing on pretty girls straddling even prettier motorcycles, BIKERS USA, which is published by a lady biker, remained absolutely penniless and dedicated to presenting a glimpse into bikers lifestyle and biker family which is suitable for all ages.
None of the women I know always ride naked except for in your dreams. I would probably do it, but only because I’m a naturist and it would have to be really secluded. Still, I’d at least wear chaps because I don’t like the smell of burnt skin, particularly my own. My brothers and sisters would scoff if I ever did a serious ride without full-legged jeans and quality motorcycle boots.
[New Riders Tip: Quality boots are worth the money. I paid over $100 and they were well worth it].
In the beginning, guys really wanted me to load the site with pictures of naked or semi-naked women. In the circles I hang with, the polls are closed and the results are in. Of the male bikers I talked with, 29 out of 30 male bikers love hooters. In some circles, this could drop to 0 out of 30. I might have made some serious money, but that’s not why I started this.
Parents will find that, in BIKERS USA, there is nothing that little Biff and Muffy would not see if they went to a motorcycle rally. If this ever changes in the future, it will be a members only section. So, let the kids in. Youngsters are the next Biker generation. I think it’s important to pass along old school biker stories, lessons, safety tips, and biker values.
BIKERS USA was not the first or only publication or site to start with and stay true to this philosophy. There are more and more sites and magazines coming along every day that have a similar philosophy.
Please do not confuse BIKERS USA with any publication by Easyrider Magazine. As much as we may try, we do not deserve that prestige. We greatly respect Easyrider for what they’ve done for the biker community. There are people who don’t understand how instrumental Easyrider was in informing the public that the overwhelming majority of bikers are not the scurge they thought they were during the 1960’s.

AMA also gets much credit, for saying outlaw bikers are only 1% of the motorcycling population.
Oh, by the way, here is another great statistic: Women now make up 9% of motorcycle riders!
The only other stat of interest is that for every story I tell, somewhere, somebody disagrees with something I’ve said and takes offense.
For example, my family has a term for it when a guy rides as a passenger. They call it riding bitch. If I use terms like that and they offend your sensibilities, please realize I hang with a different kind of crowd than you do. Yes, I know it is not politically correct, and it probably sends a bad message. I agree, there is nothing wrong with riding 2-up, queen, as a passenger. I still think it’s amusing to see my brothers picking on each other. That is what they do best. So, if you’re overly PC, please avoid any of our get togethers at all cost because it tends to get much, much worse. You and the horse you rode in on wouldn’t last 5 minutes, bitch.
The editor of BIKERS USA was the founder of the BIKERS category in the Open Directory Project in 1999. Until then, all bikers sites were categorized under recreation/motorcycles. As you know, the bikers lifestyle is much more about our societal subculture than it is about recreation, with the exception of racing and elbow curls. Another reality is that most bikers cannot afford the new custom chrome choppers that have been so heavily popularized. We appreciate looking, but it doesn’t have much to do with who most of us are.
