Event Organizers:
Are you Biker-Friendly or Just Money-Friendly?Effective June 16, 2007
Only 1 out of every 2000 event organizers who request us to post motorcycle event information have contributed to support the continued operation of BIKERS USA. Yet some of them charge hundreds, or thousands, or tens of thousands, of bikers more than $25 each to get in the door. They often charge vendors from $100 to $2500 to set up a booth at their event. Since we began running this site eight years ago, the total support has number of donations was less than 10, and the total amount was less than $200. This, plus the fact that BIKERS USA needs full-time support and has never been able to pay me (so I am hungry and too impoverished to even go on a poker run for charity), explains our need to try something different. So, we must turn to Support-Based Motorcycle Event Postings. The alternative would be to give up, and let big business manage all motorcycle events, but BIKERS need to steadfastly refuse to ever let that happen. |
