| | | For 40 years, bikers have complained about their helmets, but as of Halloween, 2007, there were only 20 official complaints going back to 1995 on file at the NHTSA. There are 500,000 helmets recalled and most are probably on our heads! Tell NHTSA to force helmet makers to make helmets they are willing to stand behind and are rated for 70 mph. If they made a better product, the government would not have to force people to wear these torture devices.

Bike-O-Rama is always the third weekend in May.
Bay Minette Civic Club’s “Bike-O-Rama 12 Motorcycle Rally” will change to May 18-19-20 this year instead of in August. The Rally is held at 16173 Old Brady Road in Bay Minette, Alabama. All makes of motorcycles welcome. Public is welcome. It is a family oriented charity fundraiser, presented by the Bay Minette Civic Club, Inc. Bike-O-Rama benefits BMCC "Charity Fund" which helps needy people, and the club’s "Recycle Your Bicycle" and "Underprivileged Children Christmas Shopping Tour" projects.
Sponsors and in-kind advertising needed. Bands wishing to donate or discount a performance are invited. Anyone who can distribute BIKE-O-RAMA fliers and business cards please contact BMCC.

Additional info Greg gave to Bikers USA: We have dropped our camping fee, so more will probably camp this year. No electric or water hookups. Vendors pay for 20x20 booth space: $100, $125 with electric, extra spaces $75. Our admission is $15 weekend, 12 and under free. We were the 4th weekend in August, but it has been too hot and rainy, so now it will be the 3rd weekend in May.

There is much better camping in the area. Even Gunstock is better, but they want an outrageous 5 night minimum. Definitely, chill out in Weirs Beach on Saturday night. My favorite Hotel is in the little town of Lincoln NH (my exact favorite is secret, sorry). For hotels closest to both the races in Loudon and Weirs Beach, choose Loudon, Concord,or Tilton. On the way from NY and CT, stop off at Sturbridge Village on Thursday 6/15. On Sunday 6/18, if you’re heading back to Boston, stop at Hampton Beach and spend Sunday evening in Hampton NH, Seabrook NH, or Salisbury MA. | Sturgis Rally | Campgrounds are definitely the best. Trail of Tears is always the 3rd Saturday of September.
This year, the ride meets on Riverfront Parkway at Ross’ Landing in Chatanooga. Ride starts at 8am. 1st leg of the rides is approximately 125 miles. Arrives ~ 10am in Madison AL for gas and lunch. 2nd leg of ride leaves Madison at 11:30am, enroute to Florence AL. Is approximately 65 miles.
