 | | | | | Full Line of Motorcycle Parts and Gear BIKERS USA has a sister site, Bikers USA. The difference is that BIKERS has a worldwide focus and is dedicated to the American custom chopper and Harley Bikers lifestyle, while Bikers USA has an American focus for both American and Metric motorcycle riders. Also, Bikers USA is where, for technical reasons, I put the entire Bikers Gear Catalog, because it has so many items. In addition to Harley Parts, it even has items and parts for dirtbikes and ATV’s, and a large selection of clothing and motorcycle helmets. (I think it is better to let the rider decide, but if you’re in a state makes you wear one....) Check out the Harley Aftermarket Parts and Gear at Harley Gear section of Bikers USA with Brand Names like Hooker Headers, Kuryakyn, Paughco and many more. You can even search for items such as Ape Hangers, Mirrors, and of course Harley Seats. | | | | |

| Bailey - 96 Harley-Davidson Sportster XLCH 1200. Screaming Eagle. Winter face....sports a low profile windshield and saddlebags. |
| Baileys’ 2006 summer face has her lowered 3 notches, no windshield, and no saddlebags. Lowering her was easy. I bought a shock adjustment wrench, clicked it a notch, tried it, then clicked it one more and rode it about a month, then clicked it one more notch. Better balance at stoplights, and much easier when I need reverse. |
| Adding personality and excellent color, is the “Coolest Horn Cover Ever” from Chrome Dome, featuring OL’ BLUE EYES that light up. It was very easy to install. I put the on-off toggle switch at the junction between the tank and the seat, out of sight but easy to find in order to flip the switch. The blue eyes are a perfect match for the royal blue paint that Harley-Davidson has been using for decades. Skulls never looked so sexy at night or in the daylight! New Products |

| | | | REVIEWS AND FREE PUBLICITY FOR THE AFTERMARKET CUSTOMIZERS OR PARTS DEALERS: If any aftermarket Sportster accessories people or customizers would like to send BIKERS USA some items to customize a 96 Sportster, you might be able to get some free publicity from BIKERS, a leading site for bikers. I’ll try it out and review it, and offer before and after pictures for comparison. There are some things I won’t consider, but Bailey is up for changes. Changes I will consider: - sportster chopper kit - no welding required
- larger gas tank
- triple headlights, horizontal
- mini ape hanger handlebars - maximim height allowable in 48 states. I plan to ride a lot.
- one person seat or two person seat that has a very slim profile
- forward controls
- different sissy bar - I want a slightly taller bar with the independent biker logo at the top. You make it for me. I’ll take pictures and you get publicity.
- changing out the tires..happy with black tires but will consider white walls.
- saddlebags - need to be easily detachable for an ever changing look, but not easily stolen
- new paint - I like lightning and/or fire and/or the independent biker logo.
- changing out the wheels...spokes are good. Not interested in the solid mag that catches cross winds.
- lowering wrench
- short shocks
- rear lowering kit
If you are interested, contact the publisher of BIKERS. |

 | | | Lowering your Sportster: When lowering a Sportster, there are three ways: 1. adjust the stock shocks - requires a shock adjustment tool which is cheap. If this doesn’t do enough consider 2. use a lowering kit. 3. buy shorter shocks. You should not mix options because you will find that it lowers too much, resulting in tire rub, poor ground clearance, or badly reduced angles when leaning in corners. |
 | | | Coming Soon: The next change I’ll make to Bailey is a one of a kind sissy bar customization which will add the Independent Biker Logo and will cost less than $5. |

| | ADVERTISE AT BIKERS | | | Due to the proliferation of sites that consist of massive directories and/or forums which spring up from nowhere overnight by non-bikers, BIKERS USA has begun a policy of not doing free promotions of new sites unless they are for a motorcycle club (verified by photos at the site) which has existed for at least 12 months, charity, charity event, or other non-commercial purpose. In order to do this, we will check the wayback machine and whois to confirm the site has existed at least 12 months. | | |
