 |  | | Saturday June 28, 2008 Duluth MN area - 125 mile ride from Hermantown to Carlton MN The Spirit of Service Ride 2008 Sponsored by Arrowhead Council - Qwest Pioneers partnered with Carlton VFW. Proceeds benefit Minnesota Military Family Foundation (MMFF), and Minnesota Assistance council for Veterans (MACV). All makes of motorcycles welcome on this 125 mile charity ride to raise money for our Troops and Veterans. Starts at the RUNWAY BAR & GRILL, 4766 West Arrowhead Rd * Hermantown, MN 55811. Registration 9am. Minimum donation $25. Kickstands up 10:30am. Ride ends at Tom McFarland Park, Carlton, Minnesota (across from Carlton Recreational Center) by 6:00pm where there will be raffles, and a steak/ribs dinner for all who donated a minimum of $25. No need to arrive on motorcycle. All Veterans in attendance will participate in a drawing to win an American Flag, which was flown over Iraq with a signed certificate by the pilot.  |  | | Here’s a motorcycle event for Minnesota Bikers to start making plans for: 8/28/08 - 8/31/08 Miller Park, Milwaukee, Wisconsin Harley-Davidson’s 105th Anniversary Celebration (Press Release March 6, 2008) Due to the unexpected cancellation of musical act Aerosmith, the Harley Owner’s Group (H.O.G.) has announced a revised lineup of entertainment for the CLUB H.O.G. 25 anniversary celebration and has announced that all activities at Milwaukee’s Miller Park during the group’s August 28 event will be free to all H.O.G. members. According to a spokesperson for Aerosmith, the group has canceled its performance at the H.O.G. concert due to medical reasons and does not have any other dates scheduled through the rest of the year. “While it’s disappointing to lose Aerosmith, we have a great lineup of musical acts including Kid Rock, Sugarland, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts,” said Mike Keefe, H.O.G. Vice President. “We’re pleased to announce that all entertainment during our 25th Anniversary celebration at Miller Park will be free for all H.O.G. members.” Miller Park is the home of the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team, located in the western part of Milwaukee at the junction of I-94 and US 41. A state of the art facility, it has a fan-shaped convertible roof, and a huge color replay board 37 feet tall by 48 feet wide! Milwaukee Hotels - for Milwaukee accomodations and the closest hotels to Miller Park, there is a Best Western next to the Clement J Zablocki VA Medical Center - here’s a map.
