OHIO BIKE WEEK

HOTEL MAPS USA
the easiest way to stay close, in Sandusky, Ohio and Myrtle Beach.

Ohio Bike Week is also known as the North Coast Thunder Rally. In 2007, Ohio Bike Week is timed to coincide with the AHDRA races, on June 9th and 10th, which take place in nearby Norwalk Ohio, at Norwalk Raceway Park. The 2007 dates for Ohio Bike Week, are June 1 - 10, 2007. Traditionally, there is a block party in Sandusky always on the 2nd Saturday of June.

In past years, there has also been a 3 day ride around Lake Erie. Plans have not been communicated to Bikers USA, so please check with Roeder H-D for details and we will be glad to advise all if we receive info. Info & times noted here are subject to change without notice. For updated information and additional details about the 2007 Ohio Bike Week and any plans to ride around Lake Erie, call Roeder Harley-Davidson at 419-621-1046, or e-mail info@ohiobikeweek.com!

Ohio Bike Week activities are centered around Roeder Harley-Davidson in Sandusky. Many activities at the 2007 Ohio Bike Week will be held in concert with AHDRA races at Norwalk Raceway Park.

OHIO BIKE WEEK HOTELS & Motorcycle Rally Map
If there is a 2007 ride to follow the same route as the 2006 ride, the Ohio Bike Week Hotels and Rally Map shows you the 2006 ride around Lake Erie. The ride was clockwise around Lake Erie, going through Michigan, crossing the bridge from Detroit to Windsor Ontario. The primary hotel and overflow hotels are indicated on the maps. The ride went from Windsor to a Beach Party at Callahans Beach House in Port Dover. Nearby hotels were in Simcoe Ontario. From Port Dover, the 2006 ride went to the Niagara Falls Block Party in Niagara Falls, New York. The next day, the ride, with all the riders who joined at different stops along the way went back to Sandusky. At least, that was the plan for 2006, so, again, please verify all info with the Sandusky Harley-Davidson dealership by calling 419-621-1046. If the traditional ride is taking place, see the Ohio Bike Week hotels and rally map for information about Sandusky, Windsor, Port Dover, and the Niagara Falls Block Party.

News Flash!            OHIO BIKE WEEK           News Flash!
March 16, 2006 This news just in from Sandusky Ohio.

The 7th annual event in Sandusky which youíve come to know and love as the North Coast Thunder Rally, has changed itís name to OHIO BIKE WEEK.

It has also become a week long event. Actually, it is 10 days!

It will be kickstarted by a 3 day ride around Lake Erie with stops at Windsor, Port Dover, and Niagara Falls, starting on 6/2.

In addition to the awesome ride around the lake, some of the highlights will be a stunt show (motorcycle jumping, like Evil Knievel) on Thursday, 6/8 and a huge parade through downtown Sandusky on Saturday 6/10/06.

Thousands of bikers loved it as the North Coast Thunder Rally, but with it having an awesome ride and going to a 10 day schedule, many more will love it even more as OHIO BIKE WEEK !!

The ride makes it pretty cool for those bikers who want to join up with the ride in from other points such as New York, Pennsylvania, and even New England. Itís timed so that people who go on the Run For The Wall can head to to Ohio Bike Week and do a whole lot more riding! For information about the block party in Niagara Falls, please see New York Bikers. There is also a really cool Niagara Falls Hotels, Block Party & Rally Map.

Ohio Bike Week is looking like to be a great time ! Enjoy !

As an avid historian of motorcycles, motorcycling, and motorcycle rallies, Bikers USA finds the following to be very interesting:

The idea for a North Coast Thunder Rally idea began with the Ohio State H.O.G. Rally in 1999 and 2000. Following the conclusion of the rally in Sandusky, community interest continued and the North Coast Thunder Rally began.

The North Coast Thunder Rally was founded in 2001. Rally organizers still refer to it as the North Coast Thunder Rally and began to also refer to it as Ohio Bike Week in 2006.

A check of 2007 Ohio Bike Week appears that it is growing even more popular in 2007, and the well-financed Broken Spoke Saloon has huge plans for Ohio Bike Week in 2007. Bikers USA does NOT see this as a good thing, for it can only mean continued wealth to aid in the businessmans fight to continue itsí destructive path in STURGIS.
Bikers USA supports the Indians and Bikers who are opposed to the Broken Spoke Saloon due to desecration of sacred Indian grounds at Bear Butte Mountain north of Sturgis.
Please do a little research, and decide for yourself. You may come to the same conclusions as Bikers USA. It is my opinion that Indians have been kicked around far too much and that the wealthy Broken Spoke Saloon owners will not stop ruining the sanctity of Bear Butte Mountain unless all Broken Spoke Saloon locations are boycotted by bikers who are their patrons.

BIKERS USA EDITORIAL OPINION

A check of 2007 Ohio Bike Week appears that it is growing even more popular in 2007. This is great for the motorcycling community. However, the well-financed Broken Spoke Saloon appears to be a major sponsor of Ohio Bike Week 2007, and is potentially bad for bikers.

Bikers USA does NOT see this as a good thing, for it is likely to mean continued wealth to aid in the business owners fight to continue itsí destructive path in STURGIS. We do not want to leave a legacy of being destructive to the planet or itsí repressed indigenous people.

It is my opinion that Indians have been kicked around far too much and that the wealthy Broken Spoke Saloon owners will not stop ruining the sanctity of Bear Butte Mountain unless all Broken Spoke Saloon locations are boycotted by bikers who fuel their wealth.

I urge you to attend Ohio Bike Week, and have a great time. You can do it without spending your money at the Broken Spoke Saloon. Defend Bear Butte!

Thanks for visiting BIKERS USA and proving a biker site can be biker-family oriented and still be popular! Please visit again soon !
