4TH OF JULY EVENT ANNOUNCED! 1/24/2006 Raleigh, NC, Article by Bikers USA Patriot Guard Riders have announced they will be holding their first National PGR event from July 2 through July 4, 2006. They are expecting a huge crowd of members and non-members to attend, and they are looking for a suitable encampment in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. They have formed a committee and will have more details to announce at their web site, www.patriotguard.org
Patriot Guard Riders has had explosive growth since they began in August, 2005. The American Legion Riders, chapter 136, from Kansas, were appalled when they found out a Baptist church was planning to disrupt funerals of fallen soldiers by protesting at them. The particular church, WBC, wanted to protest in order to further their agenda of hate against a group of Americans. In the first few cases, their hate was targeted at homosexuals. They wanted to protest against laws which allow homosexuals in the military. Supposedly, it didn’t even matter to them whether the fallen hero was homosexual or heterosexual. As long as the self-righteous cult was able to get the spotlight on their cause, and make a name for themselves, it didn’t matter. ALR formed PGR and created plans of their own; to prevent the disruptions, and ensure the preservation of the final right of fallen soldiers and their families. The right to a peaceful memorial ceremony conducted in the religion of their choice, free from protests by extremely misguided, political/religious zealots. PGR decided the best course of action is to act as bodyguards and escorts, and protectors of the solemnity of memorial services, as needed, for the families of the fallen heroes. Although the hate group, WBC, is inconsiderate of a families rights to privacy and rights to a memorial ceremony for the fallen patriots, ...... (continued in the right column) | the Patriot Guard Riders had to effectively deal with the WBC’s rights to freedom of speech, and freedom to protest. The PGR decided they would have to silence them without violating the constitution. The PGR developed intervention methods and quickly found their methods are effective. They found out more about the hate mongering leader of WBC, found out about his wifes propensity to use her lawyer training to defend him, and found out their schedule for funeral disruptions. The Patriot Guard Riders put together security plans for the funerals, and the zealots have been effectively silenced. PGR has a huge network of volunteers, mostly riders and veterans (including me), who are willing to provide security and motorcycle escort services for funerals of fallen military. There is no requirement that one rides, or is a veteran, in order to join. UPDATE: In the aftermath of the recent mining deaths in West Virginia, the same fool reverends web site has a posting that says “Thank God for 2 more dead miners”, and claims his church will picket their funerals. What a pathetic loser! I’m sure this idiot “reverend?” is giving all Baptists a bad name, so I don’t know why they don’t toss him out on his buttocks. Did you notice that I did not say whom this fool zealot is, or the name of his so-called church, other than WBC and it is Baptist? The reason for this is that he revels in the fame of it. So, enough about him and his very misguided followers. PGR may well be the fastest growing organization in America. I’ve been running one of the most popular sites for bikers in the world, for 5 years. The PGR site traffic within three months has already tripled what mine is, and they had thousands of members sign up within just a few months. That is why I think PGR is the fastest growing organization in the country. The only possible negative against PGR is that with their instant fame and fast growth, they may be tempted to veer from the original mission and take on new missions which early members did not sign up for. |
