Womens Groups Editorial
A reminder to anyone starting a new womens motorcycle club. Don’t use the name of an existing MC, male or female. Even if you think the law is on your side, it shows complete lack of respect, and is foolish.

If you haven’t lived the life yet,
here’s a book by my sister, Throttle.

If you’ve lived the life,
Now, read the book. There might be parts in it that are about you!

Every now and then, someone comes along and gets it right.

Years go by, someone else comes along, gets it right, is able to put it in words, and shares the info with other women.

Lessons shared could be important.

Read the book.

Wrenching Tip: Lowering a Harley Sportster, and most other motorcycles, by adjusting the shock absorbers is a very easy 5 minute operation anyone can easily do.
Tool needed: Spanner wrench for shock absorber adjustment.
Cost: About $12 - $14 at your nearest shop or dealer.
Usually the shock absorber setting from the factory is at the highest setting. You want to bring it down one click on each side, and give it a try, including a good hour long ride. If one click is not enough, you can try one more. There should still be plenty of shork absorbing action left.
Warning: Be sure to keep both sides at the same level. Also, do not combine shock absorber adjustment with lowering kits installation as you might get it too low resulting in tire rub and not being able to get enough lean in the corners.
